Tell Council what is important to you before the draft Plan and budget is set.

Council wants your feedback on its draft 2019/20 Annual Business Plan, Long Term Financial Plan and Budget (draft Plan) options. The draft Plan outlines the projects, services and activities Council proposes to undertake over the next 12 months as it works towards achieving the long-term goals in the Strategic Management Plan and ten year financial outlook.

To achieve our commitment to the community to maintain and improve services two rate increase options are being presented; a rate increase of 3.1% or a rate increase of up to 3.55%. These options result in an average rise for a residential property of approximately $53 for 3.1% and $60 for a rate increase of 3.55%.

Option One, a rate increase at 3.1%, enables the continued provision of current services, programs, activities and new services. The new services are the Blackwood Football Club change rooms, the Cumberland Park Soccer Pitch, continuing important work on the Brownhill Creek and Sturt Linear Park.

Option Two, a rate increase up to 3.55% funds a number of additional new services (as well as all of those in option one) that work to address issues such as climate change, localised flooding, improving public safety and expanding Council’s Footpath network.
